In order to help our customers’ stay on track with their production schedules, we are doing a variety of things to keep lead times to a minimum. In today’s article, we would like to share some of the things that have been implemented to keep delivery times as short as possible.
Nabtesco Stock Levels
We keep a large stock of standard gearboxes (RV-E, RV-C, RV-N) in addition to a large quantity of several gearhead series (RD2, RS, GH) at two warehouses; one at our main office in Farmington Hills and the other off-site.
For all of the gearhead products, we keep a large supply of standard catalog items, such as motor flanges, bushings, and input gears/splines that are ready to ship out as soon as we process an order.
Backed by Local Suppliers
If your application requires a non-standard solution, we have you covered. In addition to standard stock items, we also offer custom non-standard solutions catered to your application at no extra cost to you. We also have great relationships with several trusted local suppliers to ensure that the lead time on custom parts is also kept very short.
Standard lead time on most custom parts is normally 4 weeks (including design and manufacturing time). However, we are able to expedite the process in some situations.
Another focus has been increasing our blank input gear offerings, which are semi-finished input gears that can be machined to fit a customer’s application. We can either sell these as is, design them to fit your application and have them modified for you, or we can do the design work and provide you with the drawing. As with everything else we do, there is no extra charge for custom engineering or providing the prints.
Our large selection of blank input spline/gears for both component and gearhead products are summarized in the table below. For models that are not included in the table below, we can design them and have them made at one of our suppliers in Japan, usually only adding a couple weeks to the lead time.
